Abstract

The development of computer technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education. Dissemination of the positive and negative impacts of these developments is crucial to ensure optimal technology utilization in the school environment. This study aims to provide students and educators at Ora Et Labora Private Junior High School with an understanding of the benefits and challenges faced by advances in computer technology. The positive impacts discussed include increased access to information, the effectiveness of digital-based learning, and the development of technological skills relevant to the modern era. Conversely, negative impacts such as over-reliance on digital devices, the risk of distraction from learning, and data security threats are also key concerns. The methods used in this dissemination included seminars, interactive discussions, and simulations of wise technology use. The results of this activity are expected to increase student and teacher awareness of the productive and responsible use of computer technology, to support a more effective and ethical learning process.
