Abstract

This community service program aims to encourage the improvement of digital skills and creativity in vocational high school students through the integration of 2D animation media into the learning process. The long-term goal of this activity is to establish a sustainable, creative technology-based learning ecosystem within the vocational high school environment. Specific targets achieved include 2D animation training for students and teachers, the development of learning modules, and the production of student-produced digital animation works. Data used in this activity was obtained through field observations, interviews with teachers and students, and pre- and post-test questionnaires. The community service implementation method used a participatory approach and project-based learning, with the main strategies being technical training and practical mentoring. Solutions offered to address partner issues included basic 2D animation training, the provision of digital modules, and capacity building for teachers in utilizing interactive media. The results of the activity showed significant improvements in students' abilities in using animation software, creating storyboards, and producing simple animation products. This activity also increased student enthusiasm and motivation, and broadened teachers' understanding of digital learning innovations.
